“Shelf Bed and Wheeled Track” - Where It Began

For decades there was only one viable solution to dynamic split case order picking — a welded or field assembled shelf bed with wheeled track. In these systems manufacturers provide a full shelf structure and insert (in various ways) wheeled roll tracks into each bed.

Durability
The plastic wheeled track and plastic axles do not offer long term durability that users are looking for.

Rollability
Frequent hang-ups occur with very heavy or very light cartons, or cartons with poor quality cardboard.

Profiling
With a heavy and awkward shelf, vertical re-profiling is time consuming. Adjusting tracks in the shelf beds makes horizontal re-profiling possible but time consuming.

“Full Width Roller” - Evolution of The Wheeled Track
Type Carton Flow

Full Width Roller Carton Flow was developed to address some of the deficiencies of “Shelf Bed and Wheeled Track” type systems. They are more robust and offer improved rollability. The full width roller also has the added advantage of utilizing standard pallet rack beams as its shelf support structure. This eliminates the expensive shelf bed, although at the expense of increased investment in track.

Durability
The steel axle combined with plastic bearings gives the full width rollers excellent durability.

Rollability
Reduced hang-ups; although some problems remain due to typically applied two inch roll centers.

Profiling
The roller width must be pre-selected to match the carton width. This limits the flexibility for horizontal re-profiling. Vertical re-profiling remains time consuming as each shelf must be disassembled and reassembled.

Sure-Flo™ combines and improves on the best features of both existing systems. Sure-Flo™ is a wide track wheeled carton flow that emulates the simplified site assembly of a full width roller system.

Sure-Flo™ has been engineered to provide the durability of full width rollers, along with improved rollability over both existing systems and re-profiling unmatched in either.

Durability
Excellent due to steel axles, extra wide wheels, along with closer wheel centers than either typically supplied existing systems.

Rollability
The new standard in rollability, Sure-Flo’s™ tight wheel centres and wide track profile result in superior performance for a complete range of carton weights and cardboard qualities.

Profiling
For horizontal re-profiling, a simple lift of a Track Adapter tab allows each track to slide quickly into its new position. Using the optional Micro-step Beam Connector for your load beams makes vertical re-profiling quick and easy. The entire shelf level can be raised or lowered to its new position, without disassembling the shelf.
